Katharine C. Weber from Jackson Lewis P.C. provided an in-depth overview of how to stay open for business during COVID-19, as part of the GCCA Cold Chain Policy Forum. Katharine has successfully assisted countless clients in handling their labor and employment issues in both Ohio and Kentucky, and is part of the Jackson Lewis National COVID-19 Response Team.

During her presentation she explained the structure and framework businesses can use to address employee and customer challenges in order to stay open. Points she discussed included:

  • reviewing the CDC website often for guidance
  • knowing federal, state and local laws and new regulations
  • learning how to operationalize all the recommendation and requirements
  • acting if an employee or an employee’s close contact tests positive for COVID
