Each year, Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) chooses a theme designed to inspire
and advance the temperature-controlled logistics industry. Last year, the theme
“World-Wide, World-Class” spoke to a global vision reflecting the strong
reputation of GCCA, its membership, programs, staff, and representatives. At the
2009 IARW-WFLO-IRTA Annual Convention and Expo held in Palm Springs, California,
USA in March 2009, GCCA President and CEO Bill Hudson announced the 2009-2010
theme: “Standing Strong – Shaping the Future.” “Standing Strong declares the
strength of the third-party refrigerated logistics industry and GCCA in any
economy,” said Hudson. “Shaping the Future conveys our commitment and ability to
deliver positive change for members as they develop new strategies in the
ever-evolving cold chain industry.” The theme will be featured in connection
with GCCA meetings and programs through April 2010. |

As was reported in an earlier edition of Cold Connection,
EPA Risk Management
Plan updates are due June 2009, and EPA provided new software called RMP*eSubmit
for facilities to use for online RMP reporting. EPA asks that all facilities use
this new method to submit RMPs because it is easy to use, will improve data
quality, and will enable you to access your RMP 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
EPA’s final webinar for RMP facilities is scheduled on 14 May from 1:00 PM to
2:30 PM Eastern Time.
During the webinars, EPA will explain how to submit an RMP using RMP*eSubmit,
the new web-based, electronic system that allows facilities to submit, correct,
and access their Risk Management Plans (RMPs) online. There will be time for
questions and answers.
EPA has limited lines available for the webinars, so registration will be on a
first come / first serve basis.
To register, please e-mail Kristine Mikulka
(kristine_mikulka@sra.com) and
include the date of the webinar you would like to attend, your name, e-mail
address, and facility name (if applicable). |
