Through the American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN), IARW has committed to aiding the victims of the recent 7.0 earthquake on the island nation of Haiti. IARW was one of the original members of ALAN, which brings the supply chain community together to address this type of challenge. The volunteer, non-profit organization was formed to provide a primary point of contact for those in the logistics profession who are willing to provide disaster relief support and works in tandem with organizations such as the Red Cross, Feeding America and the Salvation Army to provide much-needed support.

Already, members of IARW have begun reaching out to the association to ask how they can help. Information on relief efforts can be found on the GCCA Government Affairs website at www.gcca.org/gov. As information on relief need becomes available it will be posted online and GCCA staff can assist any member who wishes to help to connect to the efforts. For more information, contact Andrea Ryan at +1 703 373 4300 or aryan@iarw.org.
