As our official Ammonia Refrigeration Training Service Partner, Lanier Technical College offers IARW-WFLO members a 10% discount on all ammonia refrigeration classroom/lab based training courses.
What is Lanier Technical College?
Lanier Technical College is home to Georgia’s only ammonia refrigeration program, one of only a few in the country. With a $2 million, 5,000-square-foot training facility and a state-of-the-art laboratory, Lanier offers hands-on learning opportunities for refrigeration engineers.
Featuring three different refrigeration systems comparable to those found in industry, the lab allows for students to work through test scenarios in which they can find solutions to problems that may occur everyday in the field.
Lanier Technical College offers several courses related to Ammonia Refrigeration, which train workers to operate and maintain an ammonia refrigeration system and how to respond if the system malfunctions. Courses focus on safety, operation, and maintenance as well as technical and economic issues.
IARW-WFLO Partnership with Lanier
With the temperature-controlled products industry being a large proponent of ammonia refrigeration, IARW members represent a significant portion of students attending Lanier’s Ammonia Refrigeration Program. In 2009, Lanier opened their lab to all first year students of the WFLO Institute. This was met with great reviews. Thus, the Ammonia for Non-Operators course at Lanier Tech remains a complementary add-on to the curriculum for first year students of the WFLO Institute (held annually at Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center, Atlanta, Georgia, USA).
As our official Ammonia Refrigeration Training partner, Lanier Tech opened up their additional courses to IARW-WFLO members with a 10% discount.
If you’re interested in attending the WFLO Institute, visit www.wflo.org/institute. If you would like to read more about the Lanier Tech course offered following Institute, review the Ammonia for Non-Operators Course page.
Ammonia Refrigeration Program Courses
