Cold Chain Education Sessions at IBIE

Shipper, Customer, 3PL Supply Chain Demands
Saturday, October 8, 2016 | 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
A top supply chain objective of food manufacturers is to reduce the logistics costs of delivering their product to the consumer. They strive for increased performance in on-time delivery rates and case fill rates, and despite increased performance on these measurers, customer satisfaction is down. Third party logistics providers are the critical link between these processors and retailers in meeting the objectives; and 3PLs are consistently under pressure to reduce costs, while also being asked to do more. Customer demands from their suppliers are increasing to meet inspections, new benchmarks, and operating requirements. This session will bring together all parties to discuss these issues to meet supply chain demands.

Trends and Innovations in Cold Storage Design and Construction
Tuesday, October 11, 2016 | 9:45 – 10:45 a.m.
New technologies and customer demands are constantly requiring companies to look at their facilities and how to improve efficiency and ROI. This session will examine examples of some of the latest design trends in the construction of cold facilities. It will also review some of the new technologies that companies are implementing in their greenfield and retrofit projects.
