Individuals who registered as a Spouse/Partner for the Summit are able to enjoy all activities related to Summit. We specifically wanted to highlight the following items:

Tuesday, 17 October

6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Summit Welcome Reception
Museum of Contemporary Art

Kick off the start of the 2017 Global Cold Chain Summit at the beautiful Museum of Contemporary Art. This spectacular venue will play host to the Welcome Reception, providing a valuable opportunity for participants to meet and mingle with RWTA leadership and Summit attendees. Enjoy cocktails and canapes in a casual atmosphere, whilst enjoying the sights and sounds of Sydney.

9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Spouse/Partner Activity

NSW Art Gallery – Archibald Prize
Meet in the lobby at 8:30 a.m.

You will be transported by coach at 8:45am to the NSW Art Gallery where a Tour Guide will provide an insight history of the Archibald Prize whilst you tour the Exhibition. After the tour, you can enjoy a morning Tea from 10-11am and then have the time to view the rest of the Gallery at your leisure before returning to the hotel by coach at 12 pm.

The Archibald Prize is an annual exhibition eagerly anticipated by artists and audiences alike. First awarded in 1921, it is Australia’s favourite art award, and one of its most prestigious. Awarded to the best portrait painting, it’s a who’s who of Australian culture – from politicians to celebrities, sporting heroes to artists.

6:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. | Summit Dine-A-Round

If you and your spouse/partner are looking to get to know your cold chain colleagues over a casual meal, then make sure to participate in the dine-around program. Dine-arounds are informal dinners for approximately 6-10 Summit participants per restaurant to enjoy dinner at a local establishment. A sign-up sheet with a list of the restaurants and the IARW and RWTA Board Members hosting each group will be available at the Summit registration desk. Participants will be able to see which dinners still have space available and sign-up onsite. Dine-around hosts and participants will meet in the hotel lobby at 6:00 p.m. and make their way to the selected restaurant.

Thursday, 19 October

8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. | Experience Australia in the Expo

Grand Ballroom II, Level B
This last hooray in the expo will be more than just coffee and tea – come Experience Australia. Enjoy musical entertainment by a didgeridoo player and experience a Koala Bear up close and personal. More surprises and excitement are planned for this morning so don’t miss out!

6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Closing Reception

Put on your fancy clothes and accompany your spouse/partner for a closing celebration along the Sydney Harbour. Sip and savor what makes Sydney unique (and fun!) while immersed in the sights and sounds for the city. As the sun sets and the moon rises, we’ll enjoy an evening under the stars until its time to say good-bye.
