Cold Chain Logistics Education Program & Trade Show
"Creating and expanding reliable and efficient regional
cold supply chains"
(Simultaneous translation available for all sessions on Tuesday)
This
unique event, which will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in
Bucharest / Romania on September 21-22, is organized by the
European Division of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), in
partnership with the European Cold Storage and Logistics Association
(ECSLA) and the Supply Chain Institute of Southeastern and Central
Europe (SCISCE) and the national cold store association AROLA FRIG.
Romania is a country that is generally viewed as a very interesting
market, on the brink of showing the world its high potential. Rising
incomes and improved market access have resulted in a larger middle
class. Not only are these consumers more demanding, they are also
becoming more conscious of the quality and variety of the products.
In order to satisfy these consumer demands, boost consumption, and
establish an attractive business climate for all European players in
the chilled/frozen foods manufacturing and logistics business, an
efficient and reliable cold supply chain and supporting
infrastructure is required.
Besides presentations on technology, refrigeration and energy
efficiency, several regional and international experts will update
you on the current and future market developments. For instance
speakers from Planning (“Economies in the region”), Macromex
(“Distribution challenges, trends in cold storage and transportation
in Romania”), Archicom (“Logistic hotspots and market structure”),
and ECSLA (“EU legislation issues today and the near future”) and
many other subjects.
The fall meeting of the European IARW Council takes
place in Bucharest as well. On September 21, warehouse members meet to
discuss developments that affect their operations. For the first time,
this meeting is not only open to IARW members but also to warehouse
operators who are members of ECSLA-affiliated associations like VDKL,
USNEF, Nekovri, Aldefe, etc.
This conference has an
excellent price-quality ratio, and takes place in the fully
refurbished 5-star
Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Room reservations can be made directly with the hotel by using the
special form.
For spouses not joining the conference, we offer a special
Monday/Tuesday social events package for Euro 65.
This conference will be an excellent
opportunity to learn more about the challenges and opportunities of the
Romanian market and to network with local and international colleagues.
Of the estimated 120 participants we expect at least 30 to be from
Western European countries. The
program is open to members and non-members; pre-registration required.
