RefrigiWear and the World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO) are pleased to announce Mrs. Maria Rosas of Western Gateway Storage as the winner of the WFLO Scholarship for the 50th WFLO Institute, being held February 8-12, 2014 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
For three years, RefrigiWear and the WFLO have awarded one student a full scholarship for the tuition and related expenses to attend the WFLO Institute, the cold storage industry’s premier training event. Recipients are selected based on their performance, leadership skills, and dedication to the industry.
“RefrigiWear is a proud supporter of the WFLO, and we are excited to collaborate with them each year to select a recipient for this scholarship,” stated Corey Rosenbusch, President and COO, WFLO – a Core Partner of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA). “Maria is such a deserving candidate and we look forward to welcoming her to Institute”.
Maria began working at Western Gateway Storage Company as the Assistant Office Manager and now leads the sales and administrative team as Logistics and Office Manager. She is also an active member of her community, serving as a volunteer at her children’s schools and with her church group. Maria’s determination and dedication, as well as her hard work, have been invaluable to her company and resulted in her nomination and being awarded this scholarship.
“I am so honored to receive this prestigious scholarship from RefrigiWear and the WFLO,” said Rosas. “I look forward to implementing the best business practices the WFLO Institute establishes through training and continued education.”
As the recipient of this scholarship, Maria will be recognized during the opening session of the WFLO Institute and at a dinner to be held in her honor during the event. In addition, RefrigiWear will bring Maria to their manufacturing plant in North Georgia for a tour.
