Welcome Reception | 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Kick off the 2017 Global Cold Chain Summit at the beautiful Museum of Contemporary Art. This spectacular venue will play host to the Welcome Reception, providing a valuable opportunity for participants to meet and mingle with GCCA and RWTA leadership and Summit attendees. Enjoy cocktails and heavy canapes in a casual atmosphere, whilst enjoying the sights and sounds of Sydney.

Attendees are encouraged to walk, however, a bus will be available to shuttle attendees to the venue starting at 6:15 p.m.

Wednesday, 18 October

Barista/Specialty Coffee Bar | 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The Coffee Bar will be situated just outside the Expo and Plenary Session rooms throughout the Summit, making it easy to grab a cup of coffee before, during and after the various educational events taking place. The Café will serve custom coffees including Espressos, Cappuccinos, Lattes, Mochas and flavored espresso drinks like vanilla, caramel and hazelnut.

Happy Hour in the Expo | 3:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.

Join us for a happy hour in the expo to celebrate the cold chain with refreshments. Connect with colleagues and friends, both new and old, before getting ready for dinner.

One-on-One Business Meetings | 4:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Need to follow up with a colleague on a particular topic? Looking to connect with a supplier to find solutions for your next project? Take advantage of this afternoon to catch up with peers and vendors for private business meetings. (informal)

Dine Around | 6:30 p.m.

Looking to connect with colleagues on issues of shared interest? Want to share strategies, challenges, and opportunities? Or just get to know your cold chain colleagues over a great meal? If the answer is YES, then make sure to participate in the Dine Around program. Dine Arounds are informal dinners for approximately 6-10 Summit participants to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and have the opportunity for networking, stimulating conversation, and peer learning. A sign-up sheet with a list of the restaurants and the IARW and RWTA Board Members hosting each group will be available at the Summit registration desk.

Dine Around hosts and participants will meet in the hotel lobby at 6:00 p.m. and make their way to the selected restaurant.

Thursday, 19 October

“Experience Australia” in the Expo | 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Join your colleagues in the Expo for one last opportunity to discuss solutions to your toughest cold chain challenges with various exhibitors. This last hurrah in the expo will be more than just coffee and tea – come Experience Australia! Enjoy musical entertainment from a didgeridoo player and get up close and personal with a koala! More surprises and excitement are planned for this morning so don’t miss out!

Closing Night Event | 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Join us at the Australian National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour to close out the Summit in style. Take in the beautiful skyline while enjoying a cocktail and networking with your peers on the back of the Military Destroyer, the HMAS Vampire. The reception will continue with cocktails, food stations, entertainment, dancing, and the announcement of the Frank Vale Award recipient in the Yots Waterside room – an indoor/ outdoor space right on the marina. You won’t want to miss this exclusive reception!
