On August 23, 2018, the Global Cold Chain Alliance hosted a visit from the Association of Lebanese Industrialists and the Center for International Private Enterprise to learn about the way in which GCCA supports the cold chain industry. GCCA staff members including: Richard Tracy, Vice President of International Programs; Amanda Brondy, Director of International Projects; Megan Costello, Vice President of Member and Industry Affairs; and James Rogers, Director of Business Development, fielded questions on issues ranging from membership dues, information services, benchmarking, and association management.
The participants commented specifically on how interesting linkages and possibilities arose to strengthen the cold chain for food production in Lebanon with the potential to develop international market opportunities, and they look forward to continuing this discussion. Prior to the discussion, the group received a tour of the new GCCA office.
While thanking GCCA, Stephen Rosenlund of CIPE noted “You have an impressive organization, and I must say the best office space when it comes to presenting and telling the story of the industry.”
