Cold Chain Index Developed to Track Cost to Operate Temperature Controlled Facilities

In order to improve the economic information available to industry participants, the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) in collaboration with the Agribusiness, Food, and Consumer Economics Research Center at Texas A&M University, developed a Cold Chain Index (CCI) to track year-over-year costs in the temperature-controlled logistics sector. This tool will assist GCCA warehouse members with conducting data driven, strategic conversations with their customers around the costs of operating a temperature-controlled facility.
