GCCA Members Use Their Expertise to Grow Republic of Georgia Cold Chain

Steve Tippmann, Executive Vice President of Tippmann Group/Interstate Warehousing, returned from a weeklong assignment to the Republic of Georgia supported by USAID and the Global Cold Chain Alliance.  Traveling with Dick Dowdell, an experienced consultant on GCCA projects, the team visited cold storage facilities to provide recommendations and overcome challenges to assessing the needs of the current situation and new developments. Through his observations, Steve made predictions and constructed analyses of the current and projected harvest, provided estimations of how much of one’s products would be available in the markets, and how much storage is currently available. His analysis allowed him to see how much of the current storage space will be available for the projected harvest.
