GCCA Requests Comment Extension for FDA Food Traceability Rule

The Global Cold Chain Alliance joined a coalition to request an extension of the comment period for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Traceability Rule. The proposed rule will have substantial impacts on information sharing between different food supply chain entities. GCCA is one of 20 organizations to sign the letter requesting the agency to extend the comment deadline for the proposed Food Traceability Rule until March 24, 2021. This will allow affected parties adequate time to understand the proposed rule, gauge its impact on their operations, and provide feedback to the FDA.
