About

Committees play a vital leadership role in our organization, providing guidance and support on strategic initiatives while helping the association anticipate and respond to emerging industry trends. They serve as a platform for members to engage in focused, high-level discussions, share insights, and contribute their time and experience to strengthen the organization.

In addition, committees help to:

  • Gather and analyze collective ideas and information.
  • Supporting Management and board leadership in making well-informed decisions.
  • Work as a standing committee, designed to continue their work beyond any single individual, leader, or term.

Their priorities can be shaped by the committee members, board leadership, and staff; remaining aligned with the scope outlined in each Committee Charter. This structure provides a unique opportunity for members to learn from peers, influence the direction of the association, and make a meaningful impact on the industry.

What’s Involved?

Committees meet virtually at a cadence determined by the Committee. Regional Committees may meet at local association events. Global Committees meet mostly through virtual meetings and may have in-person meetings at global GCCA events like Congresses and Conventions.

  • Use your unique experience and expertise to guide the initiatives being worked on by the committee you serve.
  • Contribute your time in between Committee Meetings to review and comment on committee work products.
  • Make a year-long commitment to participate in all scheduled meetings
