GCCA was joined by the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR), American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI), North American Meat Institute (NAMI) and the Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA) in submitting comments to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding proposed changes to the Risk Management Program (RMP).  GCCA and its partners highlighted concerns and recommendations on a variety of proposed provisions that would impact the cold chain industry.  Key issues included policies regarding third-party audits, emergency response, hazard evaluations, information sharing and incident investigations.  GCCA also addressed these issues in oral testimony and will continue to engage with EPA and like-minded partners as the regulatory process moves forward.
