On October 12th, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) held a stakeholder meeting to discuss potential changes to the Process Safety Management (PSM) regulation.  OSHA began a PSM rulemaking activity during the Obama Administration, including a small business review panel in which GCCA members participated.  The rulemaking was paused during the Trump administration and the Biden Administration is now advancing the process again.  GCCA participated in the meeting and provided oral testimony, sharing concerns about potential changes to the program as well as the importance of maintaining consistency between the EPA Risk Management Program and PSM.  This is particularly importance because EPA is also moving forward with a rulemaking process to revise RMP.  More information about the OSHA PSM rulemaking can be found HERE.  GCCA will continue to actively engage with OSHA as the process moves forward.
