Reagan-Udall Foundation Announces Public Meeting on Food Traceability and Publishes Roundtable Learnings

The Reagan-Udall Foundation has announced that it will hold a public meeting on October 7 to hear insights on the Final Rule on Requirements for Additional Traceability Records from both FDA leadership and other experts from across food industry sectors. FDA is seeking input on approaches and solutions on the following topics:
Traceability Lot Codes & Labeling
Warehouse Management Systems & Technology
Implementation Schedule & Awareness
Pilot/Concept Testing
In addition, the Reagan-Udall Foundation for the FDA recently released its top-line learnings from their Industry Roundtable Series on the FSMA Final Rule on Requirements for Additional Traceability Records for Certain Foods. The invitational roundtable discussions were designed to foster cross-sector dialogue, document concerns, share implementation experiences, and strategize for the January 20, 2026, compliance deadline.
