USDA’s Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) has published its Annual Plan for Fiscal Year 2024 outlining the agency’s priorities for the year. The plan offers details on how the agency will work to achieve its mission of preventing foodborne illnesses from meat, poultry, and egg products. This includes (but is not limited to), changes to laboratory methods/techniques, adapting new technologies to reduce barriers to information sharing, and partnering with other government agencies, non-profits, and the private sector.
