GCCA and Food Industry Partners Request Vaccine Priority for Industry Essential Workers in Letter to CDC

GCCA joined a coalition letter on December 11TH to the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which included recommendations for prioritizing essential workers within the food, agriculture, consumer goods, retail, and foodservice sectors for COVID-19 vaccination. The coalition of over twenty representatives from the food, agriculture, and consumer goods industries requests that the aforementioned essential workers are considered for vaccination in the early phases of vaccine distribution. The CDC’s COVID-19 Vaccination Program Interim Playbook for Jurisdiction Operations designates this as Phase 1b.
GCCA looks to partner with federal, state, and local public health officials to help reinforce the importance and safety of vaccinations and ensure our essential workers can access and receive vaccinations as they become available.
