On February 24, 2021, President Biden signed an Executive Order on America’s Supply Chains, which highlighted that the United States needs resilient, diverse, and secure supply chains to ensure our economic prosperity and national security. This executive order institutes a 100-day supply chain review on how to strengthen the resilience of America’s supply chain. During this review, agency leadership will submit reports on their respected sectors. Specifically, the Secretary of Agriculture will submit a report on supply chains for the production of agricultural commodities and food products. Once submitted, the White House, in consultation with the appropriate agency leadership, will issue policy recommendations to the President on how best to strengthen the resilience of the American supply chain. GCCA will continue to engage with the Administration to ensure your thoughts and concerns are considered as policy recommendations are developed.
