USDA, SBA Announce Joint Rural Development Initiative

On November 20th, The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced a new rural growth plan in partnership with the Small Business Administration (SBA). USDA and SBA have signed an MOU outlining a series of investments in underserved communities, with the goal of creating new and well-paying jobs. The plan includes, but is not limited to:
Providing joint trainings, technical assistance and mentorship opportunities for rural small business owners and entrepreneurs.
Helping agricultural producers and small businesses identify ways to export their products around the world.
Expanding collaboration between USDA’s Rural Partners Network and SBA’s Resource Partners Network.
Cross-promoting programs that support rural businesses and socially disadvantaged communities, and more.
