In May of 2021, WFLO partnered with the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) for a new project in Morocco, funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). GCCA member LixCap will provide USAPEEC with a market assessment for opportunities to increase poultry exports into Northern Africa – specifically Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia. WFLO will focus on a cold chain skills gap analysis followed by the design of training and education programs to minimize the identified gaps. The assessment will take place during the summer of 2021 with subsequent training programs to be completed in 2022. If you have any questions or have any contacts in Morocco that can make a meaningful contribution to this project, please contact Amanda Brondy, GCCA Senior Director of International Projects at abrondy@gcca.org.
