Bellingham Cold Storage (BCS) has signed an agreement to lease and manage the Twin City Foods (TCF) cold storage warehouse located in Stanwood, Washington. The new location will accommodate millions of pounds of TCF frozen vegetables while also facilitating additional critical capacity for new BCS customer growth. BCS is excited that the BCS-Stanwood facility will renew a partnership with TCF, a mutually positive family and business relationship that we have both enjoyed for decades. BCS-Stanwood will expand their service offering additional dedicated customers in the region who recognize the value of exceptional service. This expansion has been a focal point for their leadership team since majority owner Joshua Green Company recently joined forces with BCS owners, Stowe Talbot, Chairman and Doug Thomas, President & CEO.

Growing the BCS service offering into markets that are strategic to BCS long-term success continues to be a priority for Bellingham Cold Storage, who got its start back in 1946 with a single warehouse on the shores of Bellingham Bay. During their first 74 years in business, BCS has experienced tremendous growth at both of our Bellingham, WA campuses, which facilitate multiple on-site food processors and provide cold storage and deep-water marine vessel services.

Additionally, this gives BCS and its existing employees a better opportunity to service its Bellingham customers, whose expanded volumes over the last several years have filled our warehouses at times beyond their optimum operating capacity. This will facilitate the ability for BCS to provide more efficient and accommodating services, paving the way for continued customer-growth.

Doors open at the BCS – Stanwood facility August 1st.
