Description:
This webinar highlights the findings and market opportunities for cold chain development in Mauritania. Since 2023, USDA Food for Progress Mauritania has supported cold chain development in the country. As part of this project, Partners of the Americas, with the support of LixCap and GCCF, performed a cold chain market study to assess existing cold chain infrastructure and demand for cold chain services. The webinar includes a deep dive into the Senegal River Valley and spotlights opportunities for development of cold chain logistics for key value chains.
USDA Food for Progress Mauritania has two main goals: to increase trade between the U.S. and Mauritania and improve horticulture sector productivity. The project is increasing the resilience of local farmers to support food safety and security of food systems throughout the country. USDA Food for Progress Mauritania increases two-way trade opportunities through trade fairs, market studies, and farmer demonstration plots.
