House Ways and Means Committee Launches Tax Policy Comment Portal

The House Ways and Means Committee has introduced a new Comment Portal, inviting family business stakeholders and the public to share their thoughts on how tax policies affect their families, businesses, and communities.

Through this portal, family businesses and individuals can directly submit their comments to the ten Tax Teams established last April by Committee Chairman Jason Smith (MO-08) and Tax Subcommittee Chairman Mike Kelly (PA-16). These teams were formed to review key tax provisions from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which are due to expire at the end of 2025, and to propose legislative solutions.

GCCA members from family businesses are encouraged to participate in the portal to provide the committee with input on how tax policies impact their businesses. The portal provides guidance on how to submit comments and share personal stories, which can be emailed directly to the committee at RepublicanTaxTeams@mail.house.gov.
