Introducing the Controlled Environment Building Association (CEBA)

We are the cold storage and processing facility specialists...

In an effort to better align with a changing industry and the expanding expertise of its members, the International Association for Cold Storage Construction

(IACSC), a Core Partner of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), announced that the 40-year-old trade association transitioned to a new name - the Controlled Environment Building Association (CEBA). CEBA members unanimously voted to approve the new name during the annual CEBA Conference & Expo held November 7-9, 2018 in Las Vegas.

Background

IACSC was founded in 1978 to represent specialty vapor barrier contractors and has evolved into a diverse association of contractors and manufacturers across

the cold storage construction industry. Over the last 10 years, CEBA has grown its membership as well as its conference and has matured as an organization, achieving recognition as the authoritative source for expertise in the unique best practices of building and maintaining the thermal envelope in buildings of all types. CEBA is where anyone looking to build, renovate, or modernize a first-rate, innovative facility comes to find the most experienced designers, contractors, and manufacturers and suppliers.

Evolution of the Business

General contractors, suppliers, and building owners have turned to IACSC as the place to learn and find partners for their next project. One of the most significant evolutions has been the diversification of the business. Many projects today are food processing facilities, clean rooms, pharmaceutical facilities, and more. The expertise and focus of the membership have extended beyond cold storage.
