Senate HELP Committee Holds Hearing on Unionization

On March 8th, the Senate HELP Committee held a hearing, titled; Defending the Right of Workers to Organize Unions Free from Illegal Corporate Union-Busting. Senator HELP committee chairman Bernie Sanders organized the hearing to learn more about allegations made against union-busting actions by major corporations. Sanders also used the hearing to promote the PRO Act, legislation he reintroduced to advance organized labor priorities. Sen. Cassidy, the Ranking Republican on the HELP Committee, used the hearing to promote the importance of “right-to-work” policies and highlight concerns with the PRO Act.
