GCCF Council of Scientific Advisors Expert Delivers Postharvest Training in El Salvador and Honduras

Dr. Elhadi Yahia, a long–time Postharvest Expert on GCCF’s Council of Scientific Advisors, traveled to El Salvador and Honduras in July 2024 to deliver requested assistance in El Salvador and Honduras for the ATraCSI project. Honduras focused on working with farmers on postharvest management while El Salvador worked with a larger retailer, providing support through the value chain. This project is funded by USDA and implemented by GCCF partner IESC. Similar assistance is planned for Guatemala and is the first of training and capacity-building activities designed to enhance each country’s ability to deliver safe and high-quality food.
