On October 1st, the FDA officially launched its new Unified Human Foods Program, a major reorganization aimed at improving food safety and public health. This initiative focuses on preventing foodborne illnesses, reducing diet-related diseases, and ensuring food chemical safety. It also involves restructuring field operations to enhance inspections and investigations. With over 8,000 employees affected, the FDA aims to modernize its processes, strengthen collaboration, and increase transparency.
