On March 24th joined with 238 national, state, and local trade associations in sending a letter to the Biden Administration regarding the current west coast port labor negotiations.  Negotiations between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and the Pacific Maritime Association have been ongoing for 10 months, but it appears they are making limited progress.  The previous labor contract expired over eight months ago.  Fortunately, the parties have continued normal port operations and no strikes or lockouts have occurred.  However, the letter asserts that it is imperative that the administration work with the parties to quickly reach a new agreement and ensure there is no disruption to port operations.
