On February 28, GCCA Chairman, Mike McClendon, visited Washington, DC for a day of meetings with government officials to advance GCCA’s farm bill proposal to enhance cold chain capacity in developing markets.

McClendon and GCCA staff met with staff from the House and Senate Agriculture Committees, Members of Congress, and officials from USDA to discuss the establishment of a new Global Food Supply Chain Enhancement Program as part of the 2023 Farm Bill.  The new program would support building cold chain capacity in developing markets to promote trade, reduce food loss/waste and improve food security.
