FDA Finalizes Food Traceability Rule

On November 7^th, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that it has met its obligation to send the FSMA Final Rule: Requirements for Additional Traceability Records for Certain Foods to the Office of the Federal Register.  FDA was under a court order to complete the rulemaking process by November 7^th.  Publication is managed by the Office of the Federal Register and the FDA anticipates publication within one or two weeks after submission.  GCCA will update members on the details of the Final Rule as soon as it becomes available.
