Tutorial: Introduction 

Brief introduction to the GCCA Energy Excellence Recognition Program, including a description of the qualitative and quantitative elements, recognition levels and program fees.

Tutorial: Qualitative Overview

Learn how to complete the Energy Management self-assessment online form, which provides participants an Energy Management Assessment report detailing the facility's commitment to energy efficiency.

Tutorial: Quantitative Overview

Learn how to complete the Energy Reporting Model data entry form to receive an output report detailing year-over-year energy consumption.  To watch in full screen, click on "YouTube" at the bottom right of video to open in YouTube. 

 

How To Guide: Step 1 - Complete the Energy Management Application (Mandatory for program participation)

 

Applicants are required to complete this Energy Management Application and send it to energy@gcca.org for all award levels. A tutorial is available above. Upon completion, participants receive progress reports and resource materials. NOTE: MAC users may need to click "Ignore Links" once the file opens. 

 

How To Guide: Step 2 - Complete the Energy Reporting Model

 

Applicants are encouraged to provide as much data as possible, but are required to provide data for eligibility to acheive gold award level and higher. Data must be entered into the Energy Reporting Model Data Entry Form and the completed form must be sent to energy@gcca.orgUpon completion, participants receive reports of historical progress over time. (Not mandatory, but required to receive output report and be eligible for award recognition)  NOTE: MAC users may need to click "Ignore Links" once the file opens. 

 

How To Guide: Step 3 - Complete the Energy Management Self-Assessment (Mandatory for program participation)

 

Complete the online Energy Management Self-Assessment  for qualitative feedback on your facility's general culture towards energy consumption. This online assessment takes approximately 15-30 minutes and results in an assessment report. (A score a level two (2) or higher on all twelve (12) modules is required for gold-level recognition, provided the quantitative analysis demonstrates improvement in energy efficiency over time.)

 

How To Guide: Step 4 - Determine Award Level

 

Energy Excellence Recognition Program award certificates will be issued based on the following requirements. Awards are valid for one year.

 

 

 

How To Guide: Step 4 - Renew Participation

 

Participants are required to reapply yearly using the established criteria for each award level. Participants will receive a renewal notice from the Global Cold Chain Alliance.
