The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has opened the application window for its F-gas Reduction Incentive Program (FRIP), which will invest $38.5 million in climate-friendly refrigerant technologies for commercial and industrial refrigeration facilities. This initiative is part of California’s efforts to reduce high-global warming potential (GWP) hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) emissions, as required by Senate Bill 1383. The program aims to support the adoption of ultra-low-GWP technologies, helping to achieve the state’s greenhouse gas reduction goals. Applications are open until January 31, 2025.
