Letter to U.S. Congress Supporting Common Sense Liability During the COVID-19 Pandemic

GCCA joined with representatives from industries that have been recognized part of nation’s essential critical infrastructure to request that members of Congress examining the issue of liability during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was requested that the committee adhere to the following principles when examining these pressing issues.
Provide Protection for Essential Businesses
Provide Protection Against Claims of Virus Exposure
Provide Protection for Employers Taking Appropriate Precautions
Protections Should Not Cover Bad Actors
Protection Against Claims of Liability is a Separate Policy Question from Compensation
Protections Should be Tailored to the Current Crisis
