The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Oregon OSHA), has published a draft COVID-19 Temporary Standard.  This draft rule is responsible for overseeing workplace safety and health in the state of Oregon.  This rule following Virginia’s lead, and Oregon will become the second state in the nation to adopt a specific standard intended to protect workers from COVID-19 exposure.

GCCA members with operations in Oregon are encouraged to review the standard and make preparations to comply.

This draft rule is on an accelerated review process to focus on style and clarity, rather than the substance of the rule. Oregon state OSHA intends to adopt this rule quickly, with an effective date of Monday, October 12, 2020.
