GCCA Members Can More Easily Connect with West African Companies

GCCA is pleased to announce that the Organization for Technology Advancement of Cold Chain in West Africa (OTACCWA) has joined the association effective February 24, 2020.
OTACCWA is a an association that was created as part of the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) Postharvest Loss Alliance for Nutrition Project (PLAN) project, which many GCCA members participated in, including Conestoga Cold Storage, PLM Trailer Leasing, and CT Technologies.
GCCA’s Cold Chain Technical Advisor, James Eason, based in Kenya, resides on the OTACCWA Board of Trustees, as does Nigerian-based GCCA member, ColdHubs. Although a new association, OTACCWA’s leadership has recognized the value of the services provided by GCCA, and agreed membership was a worthwhile endeavor. We are happy to welcome OTACCWA as an affiliate member.
GCCA’s Senior Director, International Projects, Amanda Brondy says, “One benefit for GCCA members is the possibility to connect with companies in West Africa through a source that is familiar with GCCA and willing to invest resources into improvement.”
