July 19, 2023 (Arlington, Virginia) – The Global Cold Chain Alliance has announced the appointment of a new Senior Vice President with responsibility for Global Communications. The creation of this new role within the senior leadership team is a signal of GCCA’s commitment to growing its impact across the fast-growing cold chain markets in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Shane Brennan will join the organisation in January 2024, following more than 5 years leading the UK’s Cold Chain Federation (CCF). During his time at CCF, Shane led representation of industry through the UK’s exit from the European Union and its response to the covid pandemic. Shane brings significant experience of advocacy and media relations in UK and Europe and a track record of building high impact communications strategies for businesses organisations representing food retail, food production and the temperature-controlled logistics industry.

GCCA President and CEO Matt Ott said: “Shane possesses unique skills that will be well-utilized by GCCA, GCCF, and CEBA as we continue to gain recognition and influence globally.
