The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) hosted a successful Cold Chain Connection event on 16-17 November in Milan with nearly 60 cold chain professionals from Italy and other countries.

The featured cold chain seminar provided exclusive insights from business and market experts – Fulvio Fornara, Senior Financial Advisor and Founder of Tappe Consulting, talked about the influence of financial markets on logistics buyers; Matthew Staley, Executive VP Technology & Innovation, NewCold, dived deep into technological innovation, automation and AI shaping the future of supply chains.

In a dedicated panel, special guest from Italy Silvia Minetto, Senior Researcher, CNR, reported on the findings of the EU Enough Project to decarbonize the European food chain, while Alberto Riboni, Owner RIBONI RBN srl and Vice President Transfrigoroute Italia, emphasized policy issues affecting the refrigerated transport sector in Italy.

The programme included a visit to state-of-the art automated high-bay cold store of NewCold in Piacenza – thank you for hosting us and your hospitality!
