From August 9-11, the Global Cold Chain Alliance held the GCCA Global Policy Forum.  The event, held virtually, included programming with tracks for Brazil, Canada, Europe/UK, Latin America, South Africa and the United States.  With two general sessions and 17 individual sessions across the regional tracks, participants received the latest information on key policy issues impacting the cold chain.  U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack, addressed the opening general session and discussed efforts by USDA to help address challenges to the food supply chain.  The closing session featured remarks from Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) who discussed the importance of the cold chain during the pandemic and the upcoming 2023 Farm Bill.  Industry engagement in the Policy Forum was very strong, with 245 participants representing 23 countries.  Recordings of the sessions will be made available on the GCCA website in the near future. Thanks to the event sponsors, speakers and participants for making the 2022 GCCA Global Policy Forum a success!
