Dine Arounds

Dine-arounds are informal dinners at local restaurants that provide an opportunity for networking with friends or new acquaintances, engaging in stimulating conversations and enjoying dinner with a small group of conference attendees. GCCA will confirm reservations at four different restaurants throughout the city and delegates can sign up to participate in one of the dinners. Many attendees may choose to make their own plans for this night but GCCA will also provide an opportunity for people to connect as well.

Happy Hour in the Expo

Held in the Expo, this happy hour provides delegates with the chance to re-connect after the educational programming has concluded for the day and prior to going off property for the Cold Chain Reception and Dinner. It is also another opportunity to visit with exhibitors.

Dematra, a pioneering logistics services company, recently opened a fully automated high bay warehouse near Ghen in Belgium. The groundbreaking project showcases the pinnacle of automated technology in warehousing: the awe-inspiring 46-meter-tall stow Silo boasts the capacity to house nearly 80,000 pallets effortlessly and is equipped to handle 12,000 pallet movements with Movu atlas 2D pallet shuttles within a 24-hour timeframe – an international first. Key to the success of the project are the Movu atlas shuttles, self-powered 2D-pallet carriers ingeniously designed for optimal movement and organization of pallets. These shuttles work seamlessly with the specially designed stow shuttle-rack system and the local controlling system (STC).
