GCCF is partnered with the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) for a USDA-funded project in North Africa. GCCF prepared a cold chain skills gap analysis and designed training and education programs to minimize the identified gaps in the cold chain. In May 2023, two cold chain experts traveled to Morocco to present at the USA Africa Trade Mission, sponsored by USAPEEC, to discuss trends in cold chain investment, design, and operation. Additionally, the experts provided cold chain consultations to interested players in Morocco and other North African countries.
As part of this project, GCCF International Projects drafted a Cold Chain Analysis of the North African Poultry Sector and developed a Poultry in the Cold Chain manual. Members can access both Resources here.
